Price Method - Price Level Change

Posted on by 300

We would like to change the price method of our items from currency amount to % of List price and then add multiple price levels (i.e. Wholesale, Retail...).  Unless I am using it wrong, In order to use Price List Utilitiy Wizard the price method must already exist for the items. We have too many items to manually change each one. Is there an easy way to make a mass change to an items price method from Currency Amount to % of List Price, so then I could use Price List Utility?  Would I just use integration manager to "update" inventory items price method to % of list price?

Thank You

Instead of IM would I be able to update the IV00101 table to change the Price Method and then run the Price List Utility? I did a quick test in a VM and it appeared to work, however this might not be a *Safe* approach. Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Graham

Thank you very much for the help. I will go the route of using Integration Manager to change the price method and use the Macro if it does not work.

Open transactions will not be affected as the price is retrieved only at the time of adding the item to a sales document.

Thank you for the suggestions.  Do you know if and when we make these changes, how it will affect the prices of open orders/invoices/backorders? If we keep the price level name the same as what exists for items on open sales transactions now, will it change them or are open sales transactions prices not going to be affected by the change?

Create a macro file with help of word mail merge and play within item price list window to update the values whatever you wants.

To create a macro file from word mail merge, follow below link.

    Hi,

I agree that using IM to update the price method would most likely be your best/safest bet.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
