HI All

I am trying to upload attachments in D365 using data management package for General journal attachments but am getting following error (highlighted).

Will appreciate if anyone of you could let me know how this can be fixed.

Thanks

    Hello Muhammad Haroon,

I have tried to attach a document to posted journal and on version 10.0.20 it is not possible.

Could you share on which version you were able to attach document to posted journal ?

    Thanks,

    Michal

    Hi Nikolaos

Actually, the customer has upgraded from AX 2012 R3 to D365 and would like to migrate the attachments which are available on different entities in AX 2012.

Moreover, when I try to attach same document manually to one of the posted journals, it is getting through without any error which means that this data package should also work.

    Anyway, thanks for your message.

    Hi Muhammad,

the error says that the journal must be in such state that it can be still edited. Otherwise you can't add attachments.

So, find the journal in D365 user interface and check if you can edit it. And check the status of the journal. Perhaps it's already posted, then you can't anymore edit it, and you can't add attachments.

Or in other words: are you able to attach files manually to this journal? If not, then it's not expected to be able to do it via data entity, either.
