Duplicate detection jobs

Hi guys and girls

I have a strange error. When trying to create a duplicate detection job, I am unable to select anything but "Leads" in the drop down menu.

This is on a CRM 2013 Onpremise version.

I have tested on CRM Online, and there I am able to create jobs for both Leads, Contact and Accounts.

I have tested on multiple CRM onpremise environments, and depending on the environment, it only shows me 1 select option for each of the organisations.

Any ideas? Is this a MS bug? I think so.

And yes.. There are published duplicate detection rules for f.ex. contacts and the entity does have duplicate detection enabled.

    Hi Rune,

in addition to Nizar's suggestion, ensure that you have published the customizations.

Yes. I checked duplicate detection.. I published.. I created a duplicate detection rule.... But in duplicate detection jobs, I am still not able to create a job that should run on anything but the account entity...

I feel quite convinced this is a bug.. Either related to an upgrade of the environment from crm 4.0 through 2011 to crm 2013.. Or a bug on the server.. Just unable to locate the problem.

    Hi RU

Can you try to unpublish the Lead Duplicate Detection Rules?

See back, Do you still can see the Lead entity?

Then, try to unpublish and publish another rules from different entity? for example rules for Account with same email address, etc

    Thanks.

    Found the issue myself.

    Its an upgraded solution from CRM 4.0 -> 2011 -> 2013.

Old CRM 4.0 duplicate detection rules will work in CRM 2013, but the will for some reason not allow users to initiate Duplicate dection JOBS.

So solution is.... Delete the old duplicate detection rules and create them again.
