Portals: Redirect not working

Hello everyone,

I have created a redirect record exactly as described HERE.

For me, just setting those values is not working. Anyone might have an idea why ?

Many thanks in advance,

Irena.

It could be a caching issue. First make sure that the Redirect entity has Change Tracking turned on:

Settings > Customizations > Customize the System

Drill down on Entities (left side navigation) to Redirect

Verify that Change Tracking is checked. If it is not, then turn it on, navigate back to your redirect record and make a change to the status code, save it and change it back and save it again to force the system to trigger an update.

Next, open a web browser to your portal and force it to refresh the cache with this url: http://<portal_domain>/_services/about

Clear your browser cache and try visiting the redirect link on your portal.

If that works, then please mark this as the answer.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ira,

It should work. try clearing the cache and if this doesn't help please Turn Off and Turn On portal state. If you don't mind can you please share the configuration screen shot

    Thanks

    Hi Ira,

Did you try Turning off and Turn on Portal state in Administration Centre.

    Thanks

    Hi Ira

Because you haven't provided many details I can assume you add the slash ("/") at the end of your URL, and  Portal treated it as Page path. You should try to access you redirect path just with https://{yourportal}/redirect instead https://{yourportal}/redirect/

    Hope it helps )

Even, if the question is old, i had the same problem and solved it in my case: i have multi language enabled and have to set the full path including the locale, so instead of inbound url /whattoredirect i have to use as inbound inbound /de-DE/whattoredirect - this works for me (and is not bad as i have the opportunity to root diffrent languages to diffrent path (which is of course also rubbish, as the target will be invoked by the current language :-) ))

Can we have the redirect function works when the URL end with "/"? Some of the pages' URLs are end with "/", and we don't know how to use the redirect function. We can only use JavaScript code to do the redirect, and it's not convenient. :(
