Tagging Contacts

Hello,

We recently purchased a marketing list that we are going to enter into a customer journey. Is there a way to tag these users so we can see in CRM if they become a lead?

    Hi Mariah,

    Do you use Dynamics 365 Marketing or Dynamics 365 Sales?

    If you use Dynamics 365 Marketing you could import the purchased marketing list in the leads entity and then add these imported leads in a segment you create for this purpose. This segment can be used in a customer journey. During this customer journey leads can be converted into accounts, contacts and opportunities.  

    If you use Dynamics 365 Sales you also import the purchased marketing list in the leads entity. Then you can create a marketing list and add the leads to this marketing list. Finally you can create a campaign to contact those leads.

    To summarize: tagging by creating segments or marketing lists and adding the imported contacts of your purchased marketing list.
