Workflow not works on the UPDATE record

Hi Expert,

I use a workflow for simple business logic, that is when the Eligible field (two options type and default value set to NO ) update from No to Yes, trigger the workflow to add a Note in the timeline. The workflow screenshot as below (Thanks Nya provided)

This workflow only work when the new created record, but for existing records even update Eligible manually, workflow does not work.

Since Eligible Field is Buz optional, I try to use Business rule force to set it to No, but it seams not work. I think the workflow need to improve to fit to the requirement. Anybody can help me. Thank you in advance.

    Hao, you are right, when I change scope to Organization, it works. Thank you.

    Hi CRMKEY,

    You can change Scope from User to Organization, then the workflow should work.

    If this does not help, I would recommend you convert the real-time workflow to background workflow, then we can see its log in the system jobs.

    According to the log, we can check whether it is triggered or whether it fails to run.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

    For workflow, please verify if you have selected the Eligible field in the "Record fields change" list:

    Furthermore, you need to refresh the form, to see the new note in the timeline.

    If your requirement is to create a not real-time, this is the right approach, do not go for JavaScript.

    If you can afford to add note async. (background), i would suggest using Microsoft Flow.
