Dynamics CRM 365 On-premise Sync Appointment with outlook. without any plugin installed in outlook.

Posted on by 525

Hi

We have a requirement, where we need to create an appointment entity on creation of some custom entity record. Once appointment entity created, this should reflect in outlook as a meeting invite.

There are some constraints here.

1. User doesn't want to install any kind of outlook plugin ( either Dynamic CRM for outlook or Dynamics CRM APP for outlook).

Our environment is  Dynamics CRM 365 On-premise and not IFD.

Exchange server could be either online or on-premise.  ( I have to verify with Exchange team).

If not possible without installing any outlook plugin, how about Dynamics CRM APP for outlook and what are the consideration to implement this.

According to Microsoft docs

Thanks

Is it possible to view CRM Appointment (created in Dynamics CRM),  in Outlook as a meeting invite using Dynamics 365 App for outlook?

    Thanks Begovich.

But currently as I said we didn't implement IFD and OAuth authentication. We will figure out.

    Hi Shawn,

If you are using the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook with Dynamics 365 on-premises then there is no way around the need to implement IFD, OAuth, and ADFS.

Follow these steps if you are using Dynamics 365 on-premises.
