is it possible to link Microsoft Dynamics CRM with LinkedIn, so as to keep the contained information more up-to-date.

I don't know that there is a solution that will actively poll LinkedIn for updates and save them back to you CRM instance.
if you search on and Dynamics Marketplace - you can find solutions that will display LinkedIn data within CRM.
Additionally it looks like LinkedIn makes their own solution:

The main problem with such an integration would be LinkedIn's terms of services, which don't allow you to permanently store the data received through their API. Have a look at the comments on this CRM integration product developed by Sonoma Partners a couple of years ago, I don't think it was ever released due to these issues. blog.sonomapartners.com/.../integrate-microsoft-crm-with-linkedin.html
