My code is not executed on CIL

Posted on by 5,901

Hi All,

I have added some code in class LedgerSubJournalTransferCommand for free Text Invoice IN DEV server

My customization is not executed in CIL. I mean when I ticked " Tool - option - Execute in CIL,  then my code is NOT EXECUTED.

If I Unticked, then only my code is executed.

Kindly let me know what need to done ? So, that my code will run on CIL.

Because in PROD, Tool - option - Execute in CIL is always ticked.

Please give me more shed on this

No no, i am doing development on DEV server only. You mean to ship already compile application to Production after testing ot in test environment. So, that we not get any issue on this.

    right?

No, you shouldn't do any development in production. You should ship already compiled application (after testing it in a test environment). Consult Deploying Customizations Across Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Environments to get more details about deployment.

    Thanks Martin,

Actually, the class LedgerSubJournalTransferCommand, when i did Compile forward + Incremental CIL then only my custom code get executed.

Is this a right approach to go forward ? I mean in PROD also needs to do the same ?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

First of all, didn't you forget to compile X++ code and generate CIL?

Also, is the class actually called from something running in CIL? Not all code is executed in CIL - it's the case (for example) of web services, RunBase/SysOperation framework (that's the thing that can be influenced by the aforementioned checkbox) and code executed through runClassMethodIL().
