Sales Order status does not change to delivered

(0) ShareShare

Sales Order status does not change to delivered but all lines having status delivered. No deliver reminder remaining and inter company purchase order having status received. The sales order is derived and purchase order is origin.

The warehouse management process are used and load of the sales order has status shipped. Shipment has status shipped and work completed.

Any idea.

I have seen this bug in AX 2012 R3 and R2.

Have you tried adding 1 to the quantity of one of the lines and then deducting it again?  Or, similarly, adding 1 by deliver remainder and then canceling it again?  Does that properly reset the status?

    Hi Brandon,

We have a client who is using AX 2009 and has lot of intercompany PO/SO , even most of the cases we also facing the same problem .

Any light from your end how to resolve this issue permently instead doing the workarounds as you suggested .

I am looking how to find exact root cause of the issue ...please help .

You would have to debug to determine the exact root cause.

If a 100% reproducible case could be generated with exact steps, the root cause could probably be located pretty quickly and fixed.

However, I do not have access to 2009 anymore, so you would have to find someone who still works with that version.

I completely agree with you that we need to debug the code to find the root cause , but the issue is that cannot be reproducible 100 % as it occurs 15 orders out of 100 ,no idea how to chase the issue .

Could you help here by advising any idea ?

Figure out how to reproduce it on demand, and then find a developer who can debug the code with those steps.  I doubt very much it is a random bug.  There must be some standard sequence of events that leads to it.

    Hi Brandon Wiese,

It worked. I added deliver reminder to 1 and then cancelled deliver reminder the status changed to delivered.

Strange at times how AX behaves as this was in AX 7 the latest version.

We had looked everywhere for a reason just to find out why the status was not getting to delivered and could not find one.

    Thanks!

I see it a couple of times a month in R3.  It's been around a while.  Good to know it's not fixed yet in 7.

In such scenarios as  it is random bug, which cann't be reproduceble , but client always point that why it is happing ?

It is not a random bug.  You just haven't yet figured out a precise set of steps that cause it.  I haven't either.
