Planning Worksheet -- Purchases But No Purchase Order Numbers

Hi:

I see the Planning Worksheet suggesting purchases.

Sometimes, I see Purchase Order numbers suggested.

At other times, I see purchases suggested but no specific Purchase Order numbers.

This is all true even if the Replenishment section of the Item Card has vendor data entered.

So, what accounts for why the Planning Worksheet sometimes omits Purchase Order numbers?

Thanks!

John

Planning Worksheet -- Purchases But No Purchase Order Numbers
    Hello,

In Business Central, the Planning Worksheet may sometimes omit Purchase Order numbers due to various factors, such as the absence of a vendor setup in the Item Card, incorrect reordering policies, or specific planning parameters not being met. Ensuring that the Item Card has the correct vendor information, reordering policies are set to "Order," and all necessary planning parameters are configured can help resolve this issue

Planning Worksheet -- Purchases But No Purchase Order Numbers
    Hii John,

The Planning Worksheet in Business Central suggests purchases based on demand, inventory levels, and item setup. Whether a Purchase Order (PO) number appears depends on factors like Reordering Policy, existing supply orders, and vendor setup. If an item’s policy is set to Order, the system generates a new PO, displaying a number. But with policies like Lot-for-Lot, it may group demands, leading to purchase suggestions without predefined PO numbers.
