Are there any SL users out there that are sending a 401k transmission file from Solomon (SL) to the Principal Financial Group. We have recently switched to Principal and their file format is different than what we were currently sending. We are hoping someone might be able to share their existing file format with us. Thanks! Carolyn: My understanding and experience with 401k providers is that they usually have a website of some sort where you can go to and they provide some sort of mechanism for you upload your transmission file (a text file usually).
We are looking at a solution from ISIS that assists with 401k transmission files (I know it creates the file -but I'm not sure if you still have to go out to a website or not to deliver it?).
We are also looking at developing our own solution (we already had a low-end solution developed for our former 401k provider but the requirements for this new provider are different).
In our existing (expriring) solution our IT group had to run the 401k job for Accounting! Kind of a pain, but it worked.
