Dynamic content (firstname) in quick campaign

Hi all,

I'm struggling to implement any element of dynamic content (personalisation) in a Dynamics quick campaign. These campaigns are aimed at existing leads that are neither Qualified or Disqualified.

I've read the documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/dynamic-email-content) and tried using the following tags:

  • {{contact.contact_lead_originatingleadid.firstname}}
  • {{contact.lead_contact_customerid}}
  • {{contact.listmember_list_contact}}
  • {{contact.firstname}}

None of these populate anything for a small test list I have in my Dynamics instance. My test list members match the same way my leads get added to Dynamics. In the email editor in quick campaigns I can't see a shortcut to add dynamic content and there's no list of known tags as far as I can see.

Thanks!

    HI Nya, so for Dynamics Sales "Quick Campaign" , we need to use a Template to add a dynamic field into a email. its not possible to add Dear  {{contact.firstname}} from a marketing list ?

    Thanks Nya.

    Just for posterity, dynamic content did appear to previously be a feature of quick campaigns. As Nya suggested this can now only be done as an email as part of 'Customer Journeys'. However customer journeys can't be sent to marketing lists, but segments. Segments can only be created from contacts and a lead might not necessarily be considered a contact.

    Hi,

    The dynamic content you mentioned only works in Marketing Email.

    But the email in quick campaign is Activity Email.

    They are two different entities in Dynamics.

    Here is the difference between them: How marketing email works in Dynamics 365 Marketing

    If you'd like to show the fields in Activity Email, you can refer to the following post.
