I have created a custom solution DevSitemap which is included with sitemap and application ribbon.
i have one custom entity say custom_AtmTerms
which i have updated with displaying it on the sales area.
after doing so and exporting the DevSitemap solution it's not visible.
can anyone help me in resolving this.

Just adding the App to the solution is not enough. Need to add SiteMap itself (under Client Extensions), if you have changed the navigation.
Just make sure on your solution you add existing component > sitemap component on your solution. People usually will forget to include this component to their solution after they adding entity.
Hello All Experts,
Did anyone got any solution for this, my sitemap customization is not getting reflected in the next instance after importing managed solution.
Hi
Please export the default solution and check whether you can see
<Group Id="Extensions" ResourceId="Group_Extensions">
<SubArea Id="custom_AtmTerms" Entity="custom_AtmTerms" />
or similar to this.
If so, then add the sitemap to the solution (DevSitemap), publish and export. You should be able to see the sitemap with 'Extensions' group with the Entity in your solution (DevSitemap) now.
Hello Gopalan,
I am manually checking the customization.xml file in the Internet explorer.
and it's not showing Extensions.
Hello Erwin,
That is visible on that area, but not visible as an extension in the customization.xml file.
that's what i am asking.
it doesn't come after exporting the sitemap as a solution.
i believe you are understanding what i am trying to say.
i am totally stuck on this , need your help.
After you have updated the entity in your solution and published customizations:
In CRM click on Sales (opens the sales area), scroll to the right to check if the entity is visible under customizations. If not (with the Sales area open), press F5 to reload. If that doesn't work either, download xrmtoolbox, connect to your CRM instance, use sitemap editor to load the sitemap into xrmtoolbox, do your changes, and then click update sitemap.
Hello Erwin,
If you click on the sitemap > sales area....
how can i check this, can you let me know about this.
I found that not all components on the screen are refreshed automatically. So after updating the entity to be visible on the sales area and then publishing all customizations the sitemap still doesnt show the new entity. If you click on the sitemap > sales area, so that it is open and then press F5 to refresh, the sitemap itself gets refreshed and your entity will be visible in the group "Extensions". If you want it in a different location in the sitemap you need xrmtoolbox.
When you say after exporting the solution you are not able to see the Sitemap update, do you mean exporting the solution from your development organization and importing it into another organization? In the target organization you are not able to see this site map updated?
