First, below is a link to the step by step guide to using it:

Second, I would advise that this is a beta version, so be careful.  Also, this is not a solution potentially that you're looking for, as in, it's not a silver bullet that will eliminate the painful work of security role upgrades.

Make sure you have version control off when you run this tool (lessons learned).

We ended up not using the results from this and custom made our own roles based on titles in our company (way easier).  Started with base roles similar to them and duplicated them so we kept the baseline roles in tact.

    Good luck with your upgrade.

    Hi Tamil,

The topic of your question is about a tool; the contents about migrating users. Are you looking for moving users only or also more information related to develop security roles based on how the groups were setup in AX2009?

Moving users might be easier to just use the import button in users.  You can select import by AD group and that'll import all users in.  Saves a lot of time.

@Beau: if you already have the users in AD groups. ;)

@Andre, yeah good point... We send emails to only ERP users so it was easy to import them from that group.   We also needed an AD group to allow access through citrix. :)
