Account Hierarchy Not Visible to Users

In a Sandbox environment that has just been upgraded to 2015 our System Administrators can see the new Hierarchy feature that allows you to visualise Accounts (and other entities) in context of their child records.

For all other test users this isn't available.

Am I missing a Security Privilege for others to be able to see this visualisation?

Note: This query is about the hierarchy functionality relating to data, not the internal Hierarchy Security feature relating to internal users.

    Hi Aaron,

    Have you enabled Hierarchy modeling?

Once again check it and also refer the following link:

    Hope this helps.

I have, thanks for pointing me to that blog though as it explains it very well.

What I can't quite figure out yet though is how you enable it for all users to visualise Accounts. If all of our users are in one Business Unit, what steps do I need to carry out to ensure that users are able to see the hierarchy against Accounts.

We don't require use of the internal hierarchy for Users, Managers & Positions, unless it's a pre-requisite for data related hierarchies.

You need to enable "Hierarchy Rule" under the "Customization" tab in the assigned security role to allow the users to see the hierarchical visualization on the hierarchy enabled entities.

Fantastic Nicolae, thanks for your help. This is the missing piece of information that I haven't seen so far in my investigation and it's working now.

As the bigger piece of the hierarchy functionality is relating to internal user configuration it's very difficult to find out more specific detail like this about the data visualisations.
