CRM2016 on premises
I looked at this a long, long time ago and was completely baffled. I am hoping that someone can walk me through ( and teach me ) how this can be accomplished.
I have a custom entity (new_transactionsets) , which has records added constantly. Each record has fields new_submitteddate and new_submissionstatus
What I would like to do is have a chart or representation in real-time on a dashboard, that shows the count of files at each new_submissionstatus that have a new_submitteddate of the current day. Currently I have a standard chart from a view that I can either set to refresh the entire dashboard on a timer or manually refresh that chart within the frame of the dashboard.
Previously, I have been given advice to put the current chart in a web resource ( haven't a clue how to do that ) . I know that the frame / section of the dashboard cannot be refreshed from a record being added or the new_submissionstatus being changed and a timer will still be required. This is fine, its just I'm looking for that chart to be auto-refreshed without the rest of the dashboard
Any help , guidance or examples in 'idiots' language would be very helpful towards learning more and scrubbing this task off my already long list
