Hello MS Community.
My company has recently gone live with D365 SCM and I have uploaded (imported via data management) bulk historical sales data to be considered for statistical forecast generation.
However, some of the data are not anymore applicable for various reasons (items & customers moving across different entities/ warehouses) and I need to delete them because they generate unnecessary demand.
I was told by our consultant that there is no front end tool/functionality that can delete records already in the azure staging tables, unless with customization (writing scripts)
Does anyone had a similar experience or know a way of selecting import jobs or records in staging data (historical external demand) and delete them?
Many thanks for any useful insight!
All the best
Stathis
Hi Stathis, I had the same issue and found in the import job you can tick "Truncate entity data" before importing the new data. That will delete all the existing data first before the import job runs.
Hope that helps
