Microsoft Dynamics GP (Archived)

alternate forms

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

hi,

I have edited one of the existing GP forms in dexterity. I extracted a chunk and did the extra steps when you have alternate forms (transfer dictionary modules & update resources). I installed the chunk and it was supposed to give me the alternate form option where you give access to the form through user security. Instead I only have the original and the modified form options. I am pretty sure though that the chunk includes the form because i see it when i update resources. I don't know if there is something exta that I don't know about

 cheers

What version are we talking about and which security windows are you using?

Have you tried deleting your .dic file from the live system before installing your chunk to make sure the dictionary is freshly created. This avoids any possible corruption issues.

Also make sure there are no custom forms and reports dictionaries for your product.
