Direct output of PDF

Hi All

Please tell me about the direct output method of PDF.

I'm developing the X ++ reports in AX2012.(I don't use SSRS)

Is it possible to download directly as PDF without a preview of the X ++ reports?
But the layouts use the X ++ reports.

Thanks,

Minoru.

    What do you mean by X++ reports? SSRS is the only reporting framework supported in AX 2012.

    Hi Minoru, why are you not using SSRS? You can then export the SSRS reports to PDF. The X++ reports will be deprecated in the next version of AX so it will be better to use SSRS instead.

    Japan's layout requirements strictly, it is not be implemented in SSRS.

    The X++ reports can a ruled line operations for each row.

    Hi Minoru,

    I never tried this, but you can try to create dll file from VS that will fired on X++ to create PDF file, you can use RDL file as a template of your report, that to be converted and create PDF file.

    Regarding on how to get the data to fill the dataset, you use AIF or direct in ax database via sqlcilent components.

    Hi Minoru,

    Also if reports are created on scheduled or batch, on SSIS you can extract and create pdf file through script task.
