Subgrid

Hi,

Entity A main form, i have a tab, which should be editable by only a group of people.

For fields i have used field level security(unless there is a way to achieve this at TAB level), but in addition i also have a sub-grid where related records can be created only by the allowed group of people, how can I achieve this?

Thanks,

PS

    Hi partner,

    1. If only for the Entity A main form, we can use the Ribbon Workbench to hide the + New button of the subgrid based on the security roles.

Only users with specific security roles can see the + New button in the subgrid.

This is the download page for Ribbon Workbench: http://www.develop1.net/public/rwb/ribbonworkbench.aspx

This is the Ribbon Workbench tutorial: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/develop1/posts/mastering-ribbon-workbench-2016

This is a blog introducing hidden buttons based on security roles:

    2. Even if the + New button of the subgrid is hidden, users can still create this entity elsewhere.

So if you want to completely remove the user's permission to create this entity, we need to remove the entity's create permission from users' security roles.
