Location directives

Hello,

I have a question related to location directives for sales order picking.
All finished goods products are tracked by batch number.
All finished goods products have a reservation hierarchy with this level
1. Site
2. Warehouse
3. Inventory Status
4. Location
5. license plate
6. batch number

My objective is that AX is picking always the oldest batch e within the same batch the oldest license plate. Unfortunately this is not always happening and I'm not able to find an explanation

The Location Directive Action as strategy has the /FEFO batch reservation/, though I'm not sure whether it is compatible with a reservation hierarchy with batch below location

In order to obtain what I'm expecting (i.e oldest license plate within same batch number) to put the strategy to none, and edit the query to force sorting ascending by batch and license plate?

Thanks

    Hi Sjoe,

You already created the same question yesterday on this forum. Please don't duplicate your questions. The forum is monitored by volunteers. Sometimes, for specific topics, you would need a few days of patience. I will delete the older question to keep the forum clean and have this question more on top of the list to review for people who can help you. For myself speaking, I don't have experience with the combination of FEFO and warehouse management.

    Hi,

Use the last in, last out (LIFO) strategy to ship both batch-tracked items and non-batch-tracked items, based on the date when the inventory entered the warehouse. This capability can be especially useful for non-batch-tracked inventory, where no expiration date is available to use for sorting. The LIFO strategy finds the location that contains the newest aging date, and then allocates picking based on that aging date.

    Regards
    Siv Sagar
