Document number already exists in history

Good day,

I am getting the above message when trying to remove a completed PO. When I check the PO line items Smartlist the lines are cancelled, PO status is cancelled, but the document status is 'Open'.

This order was closed and removed to history, a check links and reconcile was done and the status changed, not sure why, but the document needs to be removed.

    Hello, this is Andrea and I can assist you with your question today.

    It sounds like you may have a WORK record in the POP10100 that needs to be removed.

    Here’s what I would recommend:

    1. Run the attached All PO and Receipt info.sql script in text (CNTRL + T) against the appropriate company database for the problem PO. You’ll need to populate the following variable prior to running the script:

     

                select @PONUMBER = 'Enter PO Number Here'

     

    1. If you have records in both the POP30100 and the POP10100 table for this PO, then you can go ahead and remove the problem record from the POP10100 table (as it should have been removed when the record was inserted into the POP30100 table. I recommend you remove the record by DEX_ROW_ID.

    Thank you for your response, and yes I am seeing the records in both these tables, but what could have caused this?
