
We would like to track more than just sales activity. How do we track a tradeshow booth visit by an existing lead, for example? Where can that be viewed in the lead? I'm interested in hearing some of the ways this can be done.

There are countless ways to track that data, it depends on how you'd like to see it.
The easiest way would be to add a field to the Lead, maybe a number field (Booth Visits). Each time you want to log one, you'd increment the number. It's simple but doesn't give you details over time.
You could create a new activity type entity called Booth Visits. Each time they visit the booth you'd create a new Booth Visit activity for the lead, with details about which show you were at, what you talked about, etc. You'd want it to be an Activity Type record so it'll show up with all the rest of the activities for the lead so you can see all your engagements in one place.
