7 Hour Time Stamp difference in Table PM20000

         Hello Forum,

I have a client that has an issue with time difference issue with transactions. The posting times are off by 7 hours. These transactions below were posted at 3:44pm on 4/1/14. Table PM20000 shows these transactions posted EXACTLY 7 hours later that the actual posting. If I do a query on the SQL server to display the current timestamp, it is correct.

Does this group have any idea what would be causing this?

See the screen shot below.

Thanks!

Darragh

    Darragh,

Are you referring to the DEX_ROW_TS? If so, I believe that uses UTC, not your SQL Server time.

    Victoria,

Thank you very much for your response.

I’m not sure, I’m no SQL expert, all I know is our queries have a 7 hour discrepancy. How can I check that? I know my servers/domain are all on the correct time and they get there time from a government server.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Darragh,

The difference between PDT and UTC is 7 hours. I found this handy little website that will show you multiple time zones at the same time:

So this particular customer would need to subtract 7 hours if they want to use any of the DEX_ROW_TS timestamps.

    Hope that helps.

    Victoria,

    Awesome work!

    This helps me a lot.

    Have a great day.
