    Hi,

Yes, this is possible. On the asset book, you can specify a specific start date for depreciation. That can be a different date compared to the acquisition date.

Is there a way where you can apply this not individually, but implement this to all fixed assets in fixed asset group. For example depreciation convention in books.

    Hi,

You can specify depreciation start date as 1st June, so system will calculate depreciate from June.

Yes you can. We usually use if we purchase the asset but not start using it.

    Hi,

As a reply to your follow-up question, the convention can be used but has a slightly different behavior compared to your requirement. This will look at the Placed in service date field. You can read more about it here. Fixed asset depreciation conventions - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
There is no setting to let the application automatically know what should be the start date for depreciation or what should be the date for being placed in service. If you want to add some logic, you can consider a customization.

    Hi,

Apart from placed in service you can also try the combination of Depreciation convention , if you would like to have full month or partial month depreciation.

As suggested you can not have auto detect the next month first date by system
