sales order batch post is not working!

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use the Sales Order Batch Post feature to post multiple sales orders while also changing the posting date. However, when I run it, nothing gets posted, and I don't see any errors either.

Is this a bug, or do I need to configure something?

Hi,

When I try this for a number of orders I can see the following notification.

If you click on Details then I can see what the issue is with the sales orders.

This could be down to the fact that the sales orders are not Status = Released, you could be missing an External Document No if you have that field as mandatory. Have the sales lines a location code as that can also be set as mandatory.

You could also try to preview posting to see if that shows any error.

There might be something wrong with the sales order.

Try to do posting preview in one of the sales orders and see if there is any error.

The batch post will not work if there is any error on the order.

You can try Preview Posting first.

I would recommend please check your report's Posting or Vat Date filters, if all good go to sales order list and try to post manually.

Thanks for your kind replies!

As I mentioned there is no errors when I take a preview. For batch job I tried to proceed Gerardo Links. But still it is not working. Anyway, to solve my problem I guess the standard method is the link that already shared by Gerardo. I have to setup background posting in sales & receivable setup.
Posting Manually is not working for my scenario, because there are too many sales orders and also, I have to change posting date. So using warehouse shipment or sales order batch job or customization can help me.

Hello,

does anyone know in which version this has been fixed? I have a customer that faces the same issue in version 26, where in some random cases it is not posting all sales invoices that are selected when trying to post in batch. No error is thrown.
