A secure (https) site is required for claims-based authentication while installing CRM

I've been running a preview build of CRM 2016, I then uninstalled the preview build and try to install a newer build. In the setup, I select to upgrade if possible an existing organisation, and point the setup to the SQL instance of the previous preview build. When the setup runs system checks, it fails with "

A secure (https) site is required for claims-based authentication." how can I get CRM to install?

I know you can drop the config database, but ideally I would like to keep the config and the previous organizations.

Thanks

    Hi Morne,

Please follow the steps given in the below article,

    blogs.msdn.com/.../step-by-step-configuring-crm-2013-internet-facing-deployment-ifd.aspx

Though this article is for CRM 2013 it applies to CRM 2016 as well.

    Hope this helps you.

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue with installation. The link is no longer valid. What was the resolution applied?
