Sending notification to Sales Team Members

Hello everybody,

I have a question.

When adding members to the Sales Team Grid on the Opportunity Form, it would be nice if the members get automatically notified. For example, by e-mail. 

Is this something i can achieve with a workflow? So far i haven't been succesful.

Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hello Meenoo,

    I got stuck on many things.

    For example, how or when to trigger the workflow. No field are changed, the record is not created, not deleted, status does not change and not assigned. Only members are added to the grid. So what should/could be the trigger?

    Next and even more important, i really don't know how to add the different members to my workflow.

    In my case i want to send an e-mail to the members of the sales team. I create a workflow for opportunity and add a step called Send E-mail. The to-field has to be populated with the correspondent e-mail adresses of the sales team members. So these have to be dynamic values. How to do this? What entity should i choose?

    Nice to have: It would be nice if everytime a new user is added to the Grid, an-email is sent to that specific user. It is not required, it can also be done at once.

    Hi Arne ,

    Please try following if this is what you are looking.

    1) A Boolean Field which will be updated whenever record are added under grid.(Java-script).

    2) On change of that field write a custom workflow which will send email to the member added.

    3) After the member is added update a field Mail Sent (custom) on sales grid record to Yes .This would check if the mail has been already sent or not.Keep a check for this field on your custom workflow.

    Hello Meenoo,

    I have already found the answer. I probably had a blackout or something :-). I should have created the worflow on the Connection Entity and not the opportunity entity.

    Hi Arne,  I've just found your thread as I'm looking to do the same thing.  I've created a Connection workflow, however, can you advise which 'record field change' you picked for the send email workflow to start on
