"Drop files or smarte paste for Copilot" suddenly has appeared.

This morning, the following section popped up in our Dynamics365 pages:

Words cannot begin to express how unrequired this is for our business case. We are in the finance industry, speaking with customers all day. This particular screenshot was taken when one of our representitives is logging what happened in a conversation with a customer. There is no room for an AI "interpretation" of what is happening. Some of our agents aren't very computer savvy and if they see this, they may use it.

Now my entire day is going to be ruined because I need to work out what the knock-on effects are if someone drags something in here.

I get that Microsoft are trying to "innovate", but in a production system, introducing random garbage without being asked or opted-in is a critical error on their behalf.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this rubbish from the screen? I've already done the opt-out of copilot trick in the admin.powerplatform.com, but it seems Microsoft just ignore it.

    1. Omnichannel:
       - Navigate to Omnichannel Admin Center → Agent Experience → Session Intelligence
       - Turn off "AI-generated summaries" or similar toggles.

    2. Unified Interface (UI):
       - Open the Omnichannel Agent Dashboard → Click the Settings → Personalization
       - Look for "Conversation Intelligence" or "AI Suggestions" and disable.

    3. Tenant-Wide Policy
       - Use PowerShell to enforce strict AI disablement:
         Set-CsTeamsMessagingPolicy -Identity Global -AllowCopilot $false

Can you dumb it down for me? :)

I don't know what any of the places in your reply are.

We were able to turn this feature off by doing the following:

Power Platform Admin Center -> Go to the environment where you want to turn it off - > Settings -> Features.
Under the AI form fill assistance section, there is the Smart paste and file suggestions option

    Thanks for that Ben.

After changing these options and doing a hard reload, this has worked a treat.

If anyone from Microsoft bothers to read these posts, please give users a choice to opt-in when you have a new whizz-bang shiny thing you want to flash about. Some people are just trying to use your products for work.
