I would like to see GP Web Client and have hands on lab on it. Is there any vhd file available? If not what is the best approach?

I don't believe Microsoft is provding any .vhd file anymore.. those were too large to distribute to the partners and too cumbersome to maintain.
However, you have 2 choices that come to my mind:
- if you have access to Azure in some ways, Microsoft provides an image with a pre-installed GP2013 client (and database of course) & the Web client.. This is availble in the image store in Azure. Not sure if a more recent version is available, it's been a while that I tested this. I just upgraded my Azure VM to 2016, didn't bother of re-installing a new one.
- if you're a GPUG member (or subscribe to a 1-Month trial), you can access their Sandbox for 24hrs.. The Sandbox is Web-Only.. no full client login.
You may be able to find some ISV/Hosting providers that offer GP in the cloud (like NJevity, goERPcloud or CALzone).. just google it, there will be a few coming up.
