Hello,
When entering a purchase Order in Microsoft Dynamics GP, is there a way to have the SITE ID to be not required for Non-Inventory items?
If so, how does one go about this?
Regards,
Jay

Hello,
Thanks Richard. Much appreciated.

Jay
Let me get back later today and I will try this on my copy and let you know.
Hello Richard,
No problem. I appreciate the response.
I am a partner and i have put in reg keys and am using it with the FABRIKAM company and still am not able to see the option.
This is for GP2013. I tried for GP2010 as well and same thing.
Regards,
Jay
That was odd. I clicked on the link to this case and your revised text was not there. I then entered my response and continued thriough my emails and then saw your response. Sorry about that.
As as as PSTL and the SOP Re-Ordering routine goes, I believe even though it is free you need to enter registration keys. Have you done that? YOu can get the keys from your partner.
Hello Richard,
Thank you for the response. Yes that was the cause of it. I sent a reply earlier to the forum informing of what the cause was.
But thank you for the response.
Not sure if you able to assist on something regarding PSTL. I have submitted a question on the Forum, but no replies as yet.
Regards,
Jay
They were not licensed for inventory with GP 10 but now inventory is included with GP 2013. If you go to Tools->Setup>System-Registration and uncheck Inventory see if that corrects this issue.
Hello,
I have found the cause of this challenge.
In v10, the client was not registered for INVENTORY CONTROL and they have the option in 2013.
After disabling that in the Registraion, they are back to how it was in v10.
Thanks for the feedback and assistance.
Regards,
Jay
Hello frank,
Thanks for your response. The challenge is as follows:
.
The issue is that I have upgraded a client from Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 to 2013. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10, they have open PO’s which has the SITE ID’s blank and greyed out and they never had to select a SITE ID.
Now that the TEST UPGRADE is done they are busy with UAT. The Open PO’s have come in with no SITE ID’s and this is causing a problem because when they receive any of those PO’s, they are unable to POST, due to not all required fields are entered.
I have checked and there are no alternate modified windows etc for the PO Entry.
Regards,
Jay
No. Site ID is always required on a PO.
