Whereas 100,000 page views from non-signed in users costs a measly $100/month, those of us that already invested the time and effort to build a portal in Dynamics are going to be expected to pay serious $ for signed in customers... you know, the ones we built a portal for.
What should be my takeaway? That building a portal using MS tools rather than a 3rd party was a mistake? Suffice to say that if this goes through we'll be looking to port our portal away from MS.
Actually, more generally as an MS customer and IT director, I'm having every increasing difficulty in planning my costs. MS needs to slow the hell down on pricing changes or my CFO and board are going to force me to shop elsewhere.
