Importing Sent Email Activities Appear to be created today in CRM

While importing legacy email activities from a previous CRM system I am overriding the Created On Field with the date the email was originally sent. this is working fine as I have added the Created On field to the email form and can visually see the overridden date.

The problem is when these items are viewed from Activities section of the regarding item they appear as if they were created today. This is kind of annoying our users as all of the most recent and pertinent activities are now buried under a pile of historical activities we have to retain for compliance reasons is there anyway to shuffle these events into the existing ones based on when they we created and not when they were imported?

I finally had some time to check on this after hours.  It appears as if the the date being used is the sent date of the email record (populated with today's date on import).  Changing this however doesn't seem to have much potential to alter the order though (not that I am sure of a way to modify it in a supported manner anyway). The order by specified in the query captured from profiler seems to indicate the results are order by activity ID and it appears CRM is using NEWSEQUENTTIALID to provide the activity IDs.  So I am scratching this one off my list as a temporary annoyance for our users...
