    1.  You can change the account prior to Interfacing with the GL.  If you have already interfaced with the GL, it is not going to change the account until you do your next depreciation.  .

    2.  Go into the General Asset and go to Account (Go to Menu).  whatever you have for the Depreciation Reserve is the Account that you Accumulated Depreciation will post to.

3,  To double check go to the asset and the book that you depreciated on and highlight the YTD Depreciaiton or the LTD Depreciation and check off the reserve box then highlight one of the lines and drill into the amount and it will show you exactly what account is being depreciated.

    4.  If you have already run your depreciation, and it was one asset you can undo the depreciation on the one asset by going backwards on the date and it will reverse the depreciation, but you will have to generate the GL batch again, then redepreciate (unless you have closed the year).  (Tools >>Routines>>Fixed Assets??Depreciate one Asset)  It will tell your that the target date is before the Depreciation Date for this asset.  Should you continue, depreciation will be back out.  Do you want to continue?

Thanks Susan for your response. I've checked the accumulated depreciation account on the 'Go To' menu and it is correct. I also looked at the FA00400 table and noted that the reserve account is correct (based on the GL00105 table). I also reviewed the financial inquiry detail window and noted that the accumulated depreciation was posted to the wrong account since the asset was acquired (in 2009). Client insists that the account was correct before they ran depreciation last time (at 1/31/2012) and not changed after that. Everything looks correct. What else could be amiss?
