I see a journal type as AP and a Trans Type as "RL" and "RG" with no V# or vendor name. What do "RL" & "RG" transactions represent and where does this line post to in the sub-ledger & GL?

    Hi

I hope, this due to your setup issue. Please check your Currency Maintenance screen - Realized Loss and Gain Acct & sub account combination

    Hope this helps

    Thanks & Regards

    Thanks Santhosh.

What I would like to know/ understand is why are the RL & RG transactions posted to the GRNV account and not to the Exchange Gain/ Loss account? Is this due to a setup issue?

    RE: Transaction types

    Hi

The TranType RL - Realized Loss and TranType RG - Realized Gain.

We can setup the  Dynamics SL currency manager to automatically revalue denominated GL accounts at month end and automatically create unrealized gain and loss analysis for open Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable documents.

Automatically create realized gains and losses as payments and deposits are applied to invoices with different exchange rates.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks & Regards

These are realized gains and losses resulting from a currency translation.  This occurs in a multi-currency situation where the invoice and the payment and in different currencies.
