Synchronize BC Product Categories to Common Data Service (Dataverse)

I haven't been able to find any information about synchronizing the Product Categories with Product Families in CDS (Sales CRM). Does anyone have any examples of this working, or know whether it's a best practice to avoid? I'm wondering the same thing about Product Attributes
