SRS Extension install error

Hi, as MS announced a few days ago SQL Server 2016 (with CU2) is now supported we are getting errors trying to install the SSRS extension addin.  The error is: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS13.OP\Reporting Services\ReportManager\web.config'.  With the new front end of SSRS 2016 the Report Manager folder no longer exists, although it does with previous versions of SSRS.  It looks like the installer has not been updated yet... anyone come across this issue?

    1. Install CRM Server

    2. Install Reporting Services Extensions ignoring the errors

    3. Install CRM Server CU2

    4. Install Reporting Services Extensions CU2

    5. Run the installer of Reporting Sercives Extensions (The original one) and click REPAIR

    6. Re run Reporting services Extensions CU2 (Dunno if necesary i just ran it)

    Done

All working on SQL Server 2016

Thank you, latest documentation says it is supported on SQL Server 2016 CU2, including SSRS 2016: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699754.aspx

    RE: SRS Extension install error

    Hi JamesBx,

Eventhough, SQL Server 2016 is released, Microsoft is not officially supporting it to use with Dynamics CRM 365 2016 yet.  Please see the compatibility matrix below.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/3124955

It is possible to get SSRS extensions with SQL Server 2016 to work with Dynamics CRM 2016 by simply copying the ReportManager files in to the new SQL Server 2016 installation folder but this is neither recommended nor supported by Microsoft.

    Cheers,

    Nadeeja
