    Hi,

I will add one more method to Harry's spot on answer. You could import the chart of accounts using the Import Utility that comes with your system. Like Harry, I think using the PSTL 'Copy Company' tool is your best bet.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

There are several options for copying Chart of Accounts from one company to another. First, here is a link to a Knowledge Base article which covers copying setup files from one company to another using SQL tools.

Additionally, the Professional Services Tools Library, commonly known as "pistol" or PSTL has two ways to accomplish this task. First, you can set one company up as a Master company and have the other company populated whenever new accounts are setup in the Master company (this should be done before the accounts are created).

PSTL also supports copying company setup information as well.

PSTL is now freely available to all GP companies but requires a separate installation, from the Additional Products installation menu.
