Hello,
When new people interact (website, events, etc) with the company a lead record is created. However, many of these leads should actually be contacts as their accounts are active clients. Is there a way to update a lead record to a contact record without qualifying them? Qualifying a lead and converting them to a contact would mess up the metrics, which I do not want to do.

If you’d like to update a lead record to a contact record and retain the lead, you can create a workflow to achieve it.
Target the workflow at Lead entity. When a record of lead is created, create a Contact record with the first name, last name and email of the lead.
If you’d like to convert the lead into a contact and delete the lead at the same time, a flow created with Power Automate can be the best choice. The conversion is essentially the same as for workflow, except that the step of deleting the lead record is needed.
