Scrollbar gone in associated view.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

The scrollbar has disappeared when in associated view in CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 in Internet Explorer.  If I look at the same view in Chrome the scroll bar shows, but I can't use Chrome for everything because we use Silverlight.  Has anyone seen this happen?  I'm on IE 11.

Here's what it looks like:

I don't suppose you know the KB article relating to this hotfix? I contacted Microsoft about the same issue and all I got was "sorry, we cannot help without a KB article".

    Hi,

Might be a bit late for my reply but I did experienced the issue as soon as RU4 was installed for CRM 2013 SP1.

This was identified as a bug by Microsoft and they provided a hotfix for this issue.

    Cheers,

    Nro

I can't say it's in all associated views, but it's definitely more than 1.

Hi Jared, does this happen on all associated views or just this one?

Mark, I cleared the cache, but didn't help.  I'll check the hotfix link and see if we can get Microsoft's help.

The view I posted has over 100 related records and so I know it's not because of only having a limited # of records.

Scroll bar appears depending on no. Of records you have to display, if it is less than expected there would not be any scroll bar. Have you already tried increasing no. Of records in this list?

    Hi Jared,

I did go into my 2013 environment into an entity associated view (opportunities off an account) and it displays the scroll bar successfully in IE11.  One thing in my environment is the bottom of your view is much different than mine.  Mine shows 1-26 of 26 while yours does not show this.  I don't see the paging on your view either.

Could you be only viewing a limited number of records here and there are not more than what is showing?  Sorry, this might not be it but I don't see why you are not seeing paging and your counts otherwise.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jared

Is this only on your machine/user or does it happen for everyone?

I would first suggest clearing your cache

There is a hotfix that will resolve the issue but you will need to go via Microsoft for it
