Every once in a while, someone from my accounting team will work from home, fire up their VPN, and attempt to run Dynamics over the VPN connecting to the GP server - ignoring our requests to only use Citrix.
Once or twice this has resulted in corrupted tables due to a dropped connection on the user's side.
I want to prevent access to the GP server via the Dynamics client over the VPN, but allow RDP for IT admins.
Is this advisable?
If so, what ports need to be blocked in our Cisco Firewall to block this access?
