could you please advise me on the below questions:
I guess it depends on what source. Usually you can just specific Windows/UserName-Password/Organizational Account, with certain types like ADLSG2 you can just specify the access key. Which type are you talking about>
2-Can you use the application when you choose adding new data source? I assume you mean can you use an Application when choosing it? You definitely can use the APp itself after using a new one. It takes a little while to refresh and catch up so depending on what you're doing and when, the UI may be frozen. Can you post a screen capture of what you're trying to do and I can probably be of much more help.

the data source I'm referring to is Dynamics 365 Sales. It is already added as data source to CI, however the connection used here is based on an employee user account and the person leaves the organization and his user will be deactivated. To avoid issued with the data refresh I want to change the user credentials and ideally use application user not to be connected to a specific person.
