D365F&O User Options allow a user to delegate workflow approval to another user

Hi, 

 I would like to know is there any validation rules for delegation in d365fo.

Need: The user must only be able to delegate someone the user reports to (directly or indirectly), or to someone other than the user who reports to the user's manager (e.g., a peer)

    Hi Rabia,

    The prerequisite of the delegate is the user where you delegate to must have the access to the functionality where the work item is related to, else the workflow will end-up in a stop error.

    Hi Rabia,

    If I understand your question, you want to delegate only to user who falls into same reporting hierarchy. Std workflow framework may not full fill this.

    But why a user will delegate its workflow to anyone who is not part of his/her team and may don't have access to that functionality. To me its more about defining a process in team and provide them enough training how workflow works in system.
