Hi Everyone,

We just went live in our organization with new implementation of MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

We have one issue, if I make a purchase request (from Procurement and Sourcing) than every one in our organization can see that request.

What we want; if I make any request, i should be the only one can see this and that specific employee who can approve it in the hierarchy.

I seek help here that how can ristrict this action so that no one can see others Purchase Request.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Abbas

    Thanks for your reply,

As in the menu we have Hotel Booking request, air ticket request and food request,

How can i restrict these forms as when we go to air ticket, we can see all the request from every one, my worry is, how can i restrict users to only see their own requests in all these categories.

It should not be more complicated i think because on technical side there should be only one check like if user is abc than show request only for abc.

    Regards

RLS is allso possible but you would be implementing a allready deprecated feature. And it has a significant performance hit.

I don't know with what security roles you have granted users access to AX.

For these users you need to create a security role or modify their current one.

As you can see Microsoft allready has taken your scenario into account when defining default privileges:

    Thanks for prompt reply,

If you could redirect me for second option, how can we achieve this setup

"You could allso grant users access to the form "Purchase requisitions prepared by me" and "assigned to me" and disallow the other list pages by modifying their security roles."

You could make a security policy using the Extensible Data Security framework.

However please know that there is a reasonable performance hit with this method.

You could allso grant users access to the form "Purchase requisitions prepared by me" and "assigned to me" and disallow the other list pages by modifying their security roles.
