Does D365 F&O offer any solutions to have Kit item on Sales order, but have the kit components exploded automatically and issued from inventory?
Currently working on a business scenario where:
- Production model is Assemble-to-order (highly confiragble, simple)
- There is no value added for a secondary process to process an assembly/production order or other
- Needs to be able to add kit item to Sales order, but have the components exploded and issued from inventory via pick list
- Sales taker needs to be able to see both the kit and component line item, but the customer only see the kit line item
- Needs to be able to swap out kit components easily on the Sales order
There does not seem to be a lot of documentation on this, though this is a really simple scenario. The out of the box functionalities that I could find do not fit this application.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or has a solution for this, that would be great!
