Missing Buttons

We have just updated to 24.0
 
Our business users are all unable to receipt/send for approval. If I put someone in one role the button shows but when In another it doesn’t. I am not changing the permissions between switching roles.

    the same user, in one role sees the buttons, and in another role does not see the buttons. Or are they different users?

    Same user, same permissions but different role selected. This is happening for all users in that role too,
     
    When we try to customise the role it doesn't let you click show or hide on the buttons either.

    first thing is to check if users are able to use the workflow tasks in whichever role as the buttons are available.
    second, it looks like the profile that is missing the approval related button has removed the buttons for whatever reason.
     
    To resolve this , either use an existing profile that has the buttons or create a new profile to include those buttons.

    I have a client experiencing the same issue in v24.  Approval Workflow is Enabled, but the Send for Approval actions are hidden on the profile.  The actions are not able to be personalized or configured onto the profile.  The profile is a base BC profile, nothing custom.  Luckily, they are just in testing stage of BC, but it isn't allowing them to test their workflows in the Profiles the Users will be in.
     
    If anyone has a quick fix, I'm happy to hear it.

    The roles in question have been in place 2 years before the update. The user group/permissions have always worked too

    Is the role/profile perhaps customized to hide the approval buttons in no. 2 in my screenshot below? If you hide them in no. 2, then they wont be visible in no. 1, and the system will not let you add them in no. 1 either.

    Hello,
     
    Valentin - i have checked this. This is not causing the error. I have rebuilt the role by clearly customisation and it works for a bit then the buttons disappear again. 
     
    ZHU - We tried turning that on but no luck fixing the issue.
