Attaching back up evidence from M365 SharePoint site to D365 F&O

Hi All,
 
Wondering if anyone can help? We have recently moved our files from local servers to SharePoint. We have disabled syncing with file explorer as we were having numerous syncing issues and work not being saved. We are required to attach evidence to all journal postings for support in D365 F&O. The team are finding this is taking longer as they have to download the evidence from SharePoint before being able to upload to D365. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know a better way without turning the syncing functionality back on?

    Are you familiar with this functionality?
     
     
    You can use SharePoint as the destination for document management.  This creates a little link between finance and ops and SharePoint.  You can still use and see the files via SharePoint, but then they're also linked to Finance and Ops.
