How to increase performance of batch jobs in CRM

Hi,

I have Nav-CRM integration and I sync many entities b/w the two by running batchjobs (only from Navision to CRM). However when I sync orders and invoices that come from Navision, it takes many hours for the records to be available in CRM since they come in huge quantities. I believe it takes hours to process suppose 1000 order records that come for a 1 hour of Nav Orders and so on which causes delay in respect to the availability of these order/invoices records . So please suggest a way to increase the performance of the batches so that these records are more readily synced into the CRM.

Thank You!

    Hi CRM123123

What tool are you using for this integration? Is it the connector, Scribe or the 2016 inbuilt integration?

If it is the connector or Inbuilt integration are you using the default maps?

    Hi Mark,

We have hosted the web services from both ends(nav and crm) and using the batch jobs to consume the hosted services to insert records into the CRM from navision.

We had a similar challenge, we did these in our project, it really helped.

    1. In our configuration, we had multiple front end servers which are network load balanced. So we kind of directed all our batch jobs to an explicit front end server to expedite the processing.

    2. Usage of ExecuteMultiple (25 req) at one time to reduce server round trips.

    3.  Also, we have split the batch (in our case simple command line applications) into multiple apps to handle more records at one go.

    4. Also schedule the batch jobs during low hours (which mostly you would have done).

    Hope they help.
