How AX 2012 support marking of replacement before issuance of the items, where replacement is mandatory?

System must support marking of replacement before issuance of the items, where replacement is mandatory. (Demand note / requisition will not be entertained until and unless the replacement is marked in system against specific items).

What customization required to resolve this issue by using Movement Journal?

Replacement in which process? Production? Sales? Purchasing? What is your process here and requirement in detail before asking about custimising movement journals?

Hi, Steven its about Inventory, it is for production. Want to add a check box in Inventory Movement journal which work as before issuance that check box must be Marked for further proceedings.  Actually I am new at Dynamics that's why may can't plant a question in right way..!

Okay so in production you have a BOM to consume, are you using WHS to create a movement journal to move to a lineside warehouse to pick from in production as dictated by the BOM, you are not using planning for this but a system based movement? I feel you need to re-phrase your question, my answers are purely functional.

What you are asking is for the use of the movement journal (when used for production) to have to have a certain check box populated to allow movement, which will be different from the movement journal for standard production. State the journal you want to control and the logic you want to prevent from your field and a developer might be able to assist, but functionally I have my doubts over what you are requesting.

Hi Steven, Actually I confirm about the situation. Here is a Sugar mill in which they want to track the items replaced in plant.. Like Bearing or other equipment which they will move from inventory for replacement. They want to keep in knowledge that which bearing is replaced by new one. May its not in production but related to plant and inventory. Hope now you understand question.

This would be plant maintenance, several ISV's sell solutions for this. There is also service management that you could adopt, you could use projects or you could use the movement journals.

This all comes back to functionally what they are trying to achieve and what they want to see. You are saying it is a "tracking" but then you need the machine consuming the maintenance. Is the maintenance planned, preventative or reactive and do you need to plan/track/resource these? Then there is costing and how this is monitored.

This sounds like an in/out and I have seen this on an ISV where the machine is a BOM and you can track everything, but this is not standard AX.

I feel like I am making this worse, but from your initial question I cannot see how advice can be given in a focused manner. In your original you wanted the system to mark against a particular item. I presume this is not standard marking because the items could be different, you mean a relational reference for the integrity of the machine I believe? You then talk about a demand note/requisition - so you need to think about how this is entered and how all of this relates. A preventative maintenance module would do this for you.
